Thai Tom Yum Seafood Bowl

Tom yum is our all time favorite especially add in variety of seafood such as shrimps, octopus, clams and squids. Usually the soup is spicy and sour, for sour taste, we can use tamarind powder or the fresh lime, depends your choice. What is on hand, use that. The flavor is still rich and yummy. Even if you are busy working, preparing tom yum is still not tough, as there are many options of tom yum paste in the market. So it is relatively quick and simple by just preparing the ingredients such as onion and seafood. They can be cook within 15 minutes!

Thai Tom Yum Seafood Bowl

Ingredients: Tom Yum paste – 1/2 pack purple onion – 1 pc (chopped finely on 3/4 portion, keep few round onion rings for decoration) egg plant – 1/2 pc (cut into cubes) Mexico zucchini – 2 pcs (cut into cubes) Shrimps – 15 pcs squids – 3 pcs clams – 5-10 pcs (i use those without shells) fresh parsley – 1 stalk (decoration) coconut oil – 2 tbsp fresh lime – 1 pc (juice only)

Thai Tom Yum Seafood Bowl Cooking steps:

  1. Heat up the ceramic pot with coconut oil
  2. Add in the purple onion, stir fry until soften
  3. Pan fried the shrimps for 1 minute
  4. Add in the Tom Yum paste, mixed well with the onion and shrimps
  5. Add in the egg plants and Mexico zucchini
  6. Add 1/2 cup of water, turn to high heat and let it boil for 5 mins
  7. Turn to lower heat and add in the squids and clams
  8. simmer for 10 minutes, add in the lime juice
  9. Decorate the bowl with onion rings and parsley
  10. Ready to serve!
