Whole Wheat Linguine Alfredo with Mushroom and Chicken Sausage

Today is our CHEAT day!! yuhoo~~ hubby is hooray because finally he gets the chance to eat spaghetti. Actually i am just taking this chance to clear off the stocks from the cabinet, where the whole wheat linguine have been sitting there for many months. I am going to make it with ready sauce, not from scratch as it is too difficult to keep all the ingredients where you just need it once in the blue moon. We had a grocery shopping and found a great simple ingredient spinach chicken sausage, which i think can use it during the cheat day. Let’s do it!

Ingredients:

Whole wheat linguine – 400g

Chicken sausage – 3 links (Cut into slices)

Alfredo pasta sauce – 6 tbsp

shiitake mushroom – 5 pcs (slice it)

Green scallion – decoration

Chili flakes – 1/2 tsp

Parsley flakes – 1/2 tsp

Garlic powder – 1/2 tsp

Olive oil – 1 tbsp

How to do:

  1. Boil the whole wheat linguine in the pot, add in olive oil and salt, until soften and drain it. Set aside
  2. Heat the wok at low heat, add in olive oil.
  3. Add in the chicken sausage and shiitake mushroom stir fry until fragrance
  4. Add in the whole wheat linguine and stir fry evenly
  5. Add in the Alfredo pasta sauce and garlic powder to mix well with all the ingredients
  6. Sprinkle chili flakes and Dried parsley flakes to mix well with the linguine
  7. Sprinkle green scallion for decoration
  8. Ready to serve
